This year’s Boston Calling festival is just a couple weeks away, and the three-day musical marathon has some added features for those looking for a little after-hours fun once the festivities end at City Hall Plaza each day.
Schedules and lineups for shows at Great Scott and The Sinclair following each night of the festival are now available. Check out the triplet of shows below:
Friday, September 5: Bambino at The Sinclair
Saturday, September 6: White Denim at The Sinclair/Gentleman Hall at Great Scott
Sunday, September 7: DJ Questlove at The Sinclair/Reptar at Great Scott
The festival, which will take place Sept. 5-7 on City Hall Plaza will feature five headliners including Brooklyn-based indie deities The National, who headlined the inaugural edition of Boston Calling last May. Joining them will be Grammy-winning pop chanteuse Lorde, garage rock legends The Replacements, alt-folk cult magnets Neutral Milk Hotel, and New York legend Nas, who recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of his seminal album “Illmatic”. He’ll be backed by Fallon house band The Roots.
Meanwhile, the undercard is a steady run of guaranteed goodness, featuring dance-hybridizer Girl Talk, Childish Gambino, Spoon, Bleachers, The Hold Steady and more. See the full Boston Calling 2014 lineup here.
Tickets for the official aftershows are available on Boston Calling’s website, and can be purchased without passes to the festival.
