As predictable as the show is, it’s still cringe-worthy to watch Hard Knocks.
Los Angeles Rams fanatics may have been aware that wide receiver Deon Long was cut from the team in late July. Now we know why after the first episode of HBO’s Hard Knocks aired this week.
Team head coach Jeff Fisher supposedly laid down some team rules at the beginning of training camp, one of them being that no guests, including women, are allowed in the players’ dorm rooms.
Here’s what happened when Fisher found out about a lady friend that was inside Long’s room.

“I’m not (expletive) going 7-9 or 8-8 or 9-7. We have too much talent here for that. We had some 7-9 (expletive) this morning, and we can’t have that. Deon is gone. That is 7-9 (expletive), and we don’t need it,” said Fisher in the episode.
Yup, rules are rules. That being said, if it were Jared Goff or Todd Gurley who got caught with a lady friend in their dorm room, rest assured they would get a slap on the wrist.
Long was signed to a short-term contract by the Eagles shortly after his release.
