The spirit of the classic ’70s Wonder Woman TV show lives on in Wonder Woman ’77, a digital first comic book series from DC Comics! Multiple writers and artists have come together to continue telling stories about the incarnation of DC’s iconic heroine, as brilliantly portrayed by Lynda Carter.
For the current two-part story in the series, writer Amy Chu has teamed up with artist Dario Brizuela and colorist Jenn Manley Lee for “Worlds Collide,” which finds Wonder Woman a.k.a. Diana in an unusual team up of her own. Soviet agents have managed to bull off a kidnapping on U.S. soil, and Diana’s only hope to stop them is friendly trucker who may have no idea what he’s getting into. But as you can see in CraveOnline’s exclusive preview for Wonder Woman ’77 Chapter # 24, Diana’s new friend isn’t without a few resources of his own. But will it be enough to stop the foreign menace?
And now for the cover, by the one and only Cat Staggs! She’s got a very nice take on Carter’s likeness.
Wonder Woman ’77 Chapter # 24 will be available for download Thursday, August 25 via the DC Comics App, Readdcentertainment.com, iBooks, comiXology, Google Play, Kindle Store, Nook Store, and iVerse ComicsPlus.
And if that’s not enough ’70s goodness for you, keep in mind that DC and Dynamite are planning the crossover that would have been impossible on television: Wonder Woman ’77 and the Bionic Woman! But you’ll have to wait until next year for that story.
