Ryder Cup 2016: American Fan Heckles Europeans, Gets Called Out, Sinks $100 Putt

The Ryder Cup is annual golf tournament that pairs up America’s best versus Europe’s best. This year the tournament is at Minnesota’s Hazeltine National Golf Club. However, the most moment of the 2016 event may have already come during Thursday’s practice.

David Johnson, a fan from North Dakota was hackling Team Europe’s Henrik Stenson. The golfer decided to pull him out of the crowed to make a putt. Justin Rose then made things further interesting by offering Johnson $100 if he nailed the putt.

$100 richer and 15 minutes of viral fame is nice. A hug from Rory McIlroy? Priceless.

“What just happened?” He said … ““I closed my eyes, swallowed my puke, and hit the putt that happened to go in, so that was cool.”
