Uppermost has been hailed as the “next big thing” in French electronic music which is quite an honor. French wave electronica stars like Daft Punk, Justice, Air, David Guetta and most recently Madeon, have a distinctive crowd-pleasing sound that mixes deep house beats with Euro disco and American funk and soul.

Uppermost (real name Behdad Nejatbakhshe) is a 27-year-old producer who has been making a name for himself in dance music circles with eclectic songs that seamlessly shift between atmospheric, ambient, and deep soulful house, all while staying true to his French Wave roots.

Crave is exclusively premiering Uppermost’s new single “Constellation” off his forthcoming album Origins (2011-2016). The ethereal, slow-building space-disco jam has a cinematic sound that evokes emotions across the mood board, ranging from warmth and comfort to “shall we dance.”

Here’s what Uppermost had to say about his new song, “I made ‘Constellation’ with a cinematographic vision. For me, this track only takes on its full meaning once you let your imagination create a beautiful visual story to go along with it.

Origins (2011-2016) which comes out on Feb 10 via UPPWIND is a career-defining 23-track collection celebrating the Parisian producer’s early hits through today, including the hit single (6 million + views) “Flashback” (listen to it below).
