Exclusive ‘Outsiders’ Season 2 Photos

It’s almost time to climb the Shay mountain again for the second season of WGN America’s original series, Outsiders. Last season, Outsiders introduced fans to the Farrell clan and their fellow mountainmen and women who have controlled the hills of Appalachia for several generations. But now, the coal companies want the mountain for themselves, and the Farrells are under assault from within and without.

While the second season of Outsiders isn’t scheduled to drop until Tuesday, January 24th, CraveOnline has a few new images from the new season which are making their exclusive debut here. There are potential spoilers ahead, so consider yourselves warned!

It looks like Asa (Joe Anderson) is a bit more clean cut than we’re used to in this pic from the season premiere. Remember how  G’Winveer (Gillian Alexy) encouraged Asa to kill Big Foster and then had him imprisoned as she took control of the clans? Thanks, G’Win! Thank you, so much. But we’re assuming that Asa won’t be imprisoned for long.

But things aren’t looking so hot for Lil Foster (Ryan Hurst) in this pic from the season premiere. And Sheriff Wade Houghton (Thomas M. Wright) doesn’t look any happier about it in the third picture from the season 2 premiere.

And then there’s Haylie Grimes (Francie Swift), the coal company’s community relations manager who is always plotting some way to turn the people against the Farrell clan…not that they needed much of a reason!

Did you think that Big Foster (David Morse) would be out of the picture for long? He’s not going anyway if he has his way!

We’re willing to bet that Lil Foster won’t exactly be thrilled to see his old man.

We have to give you some hope with this preview, so enjoy this Sasil pic of our favorite ‘ship on the show: Sally-Ann (Christina Jackson) and Hasil (Kyle Gallner)!

Of course, Hasil is still gonna have to fight, and this one looks like its gonna be brutal.

Here’s the description for this season of Outsiders:

This season on Outsiders, the struggle for power and control continues in the rugged hills of Appalachia as the battle between the clan and the town escalates with the Farrells becoming more isolated than ever before. The uneasy truce that had generally existed between the townspeople and the family tribe came to an abrupt end when Big Coal headed up the mountain and the standoff continues to have repercussions, putting everyone to the test as they’re forced to face new challenges and enemies.
