Super Bowl LI: The Insane Numbers Behind This Year’s Super Bowl

If you’re a football fan I’m sure you already know that Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are on their way to their record breaking seventh Super Bowl. You probably also know that Tom Brady has more Super Bowl experience than the entire Atlanta Falcons football team, who are trying to win their very first Lombardi Trophy. And you already know about the millions of dollars advertisers will spend to get your attention come Super Bowl Sunday.

But did you know that the average price of a Super Bowl LI ticket is nearly $5 grand this year?!

Or that an estimated 1.23 billion chicken wings will be eaten?

Wallet Hub put together another great ‘By The Numbers’ Super Bowl edition.

Not only do we learn about the increasing cost of television ads (that do nothing, by the way), but the eye popping numbers below also show us how many people will call in sick on Monday and just how many party animals will make their way to Houston this week.

So, essentially you have to be a millionaire to attend the game, if you’re watching from the casino just save your money, and if you’re a manager you can plan on half your employees calling in sick Monday morning – especially if you’re in Atlanta.
