Get Out, the Jordan Peele-directed box office and critical success film about racism will be placed in the “Best Comedy or Musical” category at the Golden Globes and everyone is trying to figure out why in the hell this is. While this film has its funny moments, it’s clearly a horror movie that is filled with commentary about interracial dating so it’s a tad bizarre that it’s been placed in this category.
And it looks like the internet was trying to figure all this out. Just check out some of the reactions below:

They are trying to negate the significance of the subliminal message the film had by placing a label like beat comedy on it. Oh let me guess, because Jordan’s work is mostly comedy? Smh please

I don’t know .. To me it was only one character. The dramatic moments like him getting pulled over and the realism of racism didnt make me laugh.

There wasn’t anything funny in the movie. The movie dealt with serious topics and issues in the black community and racism. This is why I don’t support these award shows. This is disrespectful on so many levels.

But what does Peele himself say about all this?
‘Get Out’ is a documentary.
