Mandatory Tweets: The Funniest Twitter Reactions to the ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ Drama

We here at Mandatory are no better than the rest of the internet. We love us some celebrity drama, and the hotter the mess, the better. Today, we turn our attention to Don’t Worry Darling, which, while none of us have even seen the psychological thriller yet, promises be the most entertaining thing Hollywood has put out in a good, long while.

In case you’re behind, the drama surrounding Don’t Worry Darling has included: the departure of Shia LaBeouf from the lead male role, which was usurped by Harry Styles, who then proceeded to date director Olivia Wilde, who said she fired LaBeouf in order to protect lead female star Florence Pugh, who has since insinuated she doesn’t need any damn defending.

All the gossip surrounding the film came to a head at the Venice Film Festival, where the cast converged to premiere the flick. In perhaps the most bizarre development thus far, a now-viral video appeared to show Styles spitting on co-star Chris Pine. Of course all parties involved vehemently denied such a thing occurred, but the internet wasn’t convinced.

Since then, it’s been awkward and uncomfortable cast appearances galore. We don’t know about you, but it’s about time celebrities got back to doing what they do best: making our lives look neat, tidy, and completely well-adjusted in comparison. We also love when they give Twitter fodder for hilarious jokes. To that end, we rounded up the funniest Twitter reactions to the Don’t Worry Darling drama. Here’s hoping there’s more in store.
