On Sunday, April 1, HBO invites viewers to return to the continent of Westros for the second season of “Game of Thrones“!
With the season premiere only four weeks away, HBO has released its second extended trailer for “Game of Thrones,” which is played alongside the song “Seven Devils” by Florence and the Machine.
Although some of the footage from the previous trailers is still present, we also see a growing conflict between Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) and his sister, Queen Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), a face off between the new King of the North, Robb Stark (Richard Madden) and his prisoner, Jamie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster Waldau), Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and the Night’s Watch beyond the wall, The Hound (Rory McCann) in battle and the return of Arya Stark (Maisie Williams).
The new season of “Game of Thrones” is largely based on “A Clash of Kings,” the second novel in George R. R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” series. As the title suggests, war has come to Westros as Robb Stark, King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson), Balon Greyjoy (Patrick Malahide), Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) and Renly Baratheon (Gethin Anthony) via for the Iron Throne while Daenerys Stormborn (Emilia Clarke) attempts to gather allies for her own quest for power across the Narrow Sea…
