Somehow, the guy who wears purple and carries around an archery set has quite possibly the coolest Marvel book in existence right now.
The combination of Matt Fraction’s slick, too-cool-for-school story about a rough and tumble bowman, his young bowgirl pseudo-sidekick and Russian track-suit mobsters who can’t say two words without throwing in a “bro” and David Aja’s slick, too-cool-for-school artistic snazziness, extravagant layouts and good-looking characters has made Hawkeye the book you want to check out from the House of Ideas if you would also prefer to be excessively chilled for learning establishments.
Case in point, check out this preview for Hawkeye #9, due out next month, wherein the mystery woman that Clint Barton hooked up with and is apparently a complete sucker for hath showed up again to fill his life with track suits and angry Spider-Women. As you can see from the cover, Kate Bishop loves Hawkeye. You should, too.
