Those anticipating Gran Turismo 6 can now download and play the game at no cost. A demo is now available on the PlayStation Store which allows you to drive around in the Earth-friendly Nissan LEAF or gas-guzzling 370Z. You also get to race on a track that’s brand new to the series: Silverstone Circuit.
Similar to the Gran Turismo 5 demo made available during Summer 2010, GT6‘s demo is more than just a preview of the game. Nissan’s GT Academy 2013 is in full-swing, and those who achieve the best track times will move on to compete for a spot on the upcoming show. Better yet, if you get on the show and find you can drive just as well in real-life you might even land a spot on the Nissan racing team.
While playing the demo look out for the details that substantiate GT6 from its rough-rounded predecessor. While everyone can appreciate the addition of new premium cars and realistic tracks, the improvement to visual fidelity and reduction of loading times are what Gran Turismo fans are most excited for. Just be sure you download the demo and play before August 31st, because on that date the demo will no longer be playable.
