Ottawa Folk Festival is currently taking place, and artists like homegrown icon Gordon Lightfoot as well as The Sheepdogs are both on the bill.
Getting started this past Wednesday and running through until September 8th, musicians will be taking to one of two evening and five daytime stages that are set up at Hog’s Back Park. Other musicians who are at the event include Patti Smith, City and Colour (who were called upon when Neil Young and Crazy Horse had to back out of their performance), Vampire Weekend, Kendrick Lamar, and Hey Ocean! There are also several workshops taking place along with an autograph tent where fans can take advantage of a meet-and-greet with participating artists.
