The Mets released a holiday video last week and finally after seeing it for the first time, I honestly cannot stop laughing.
The video is atrocious. Not a single player can sing whatsoever, and other than David Wright and Justin Turner — who snaps rather whimsically — it’s obvious most of the guys would rather get a root canal than try to carry a holiday tune in front of a camera.
I mean just look at how enthusiastic Travis d’Arnaud is.
Dillon Gee looks psyched.
Lucas Dude obviously had to smoke a bowl and ask for assistance to work up the courage to jump in front of the green screen. He obviously hates his life during this moment.
Kudos to the marketing and promotions department with the Mets. This was obviously a setup and it only gets funnier the longer it stays online.
Not sure what the players did to serve such punishment but I can’t wait to see how they vindicate themselves.
