Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is about to debut a major DLC pack, and it’s worthy of your attention.
Freedom Cry will put you in the shoes of Adéwalé 15 years after the end of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag‘s main story. Prior to meeting with Kenway and becoming a pirate, Adéwalé was a Trinidad-raised slave who would later break free and join the Assassin Order. Parts of his difficult experience are shared during the journey through Black Flag.
In Freedom Cry, Adéwalé finds himself in the capital of Haiti, Port-au-Prince, where slavery is rampant. The subject matter is controversial, but Ubisoft is facing it head-on. You will see slaves, drivers, and the rest of the whole nine yards. Understandably, Adéwalé has no mercy for slave owners, and that’s put on full display in the DLC’s trailer. See for yourself:
Freedom Cry will be available tomorrow on all platforms. You can purchase it individually or as part of the season pass which also throws in The Exclusive Kraken Ship Pack, among other bits of content for $19.99.
