‘The Walking Dead’ Season 4 Episode 9 Preview Scene

Last month’s midseason finale of “The Walking Dead” brought the long running prison storyline to a close after a brutal attack by the Governor (David Morrissey) led to several deaths and the destruction of the group’s home.

Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his son Carl (Chandler Riggs) were among the survivors, but they are now completely on their own. AMC has released the official poster artwork (pictured above) from the second half of “The Walking Dead” Season 4 which focuses on Carl and Rick with the words “Don’t look back” echoing Rick’s statement as they staggered away from the prison.

Series creator Robert Kirkman wrote next month’s midseason premiere, which appears to be a direct adaptation of a story he wrote for the original comic book series. In the preview scene from this episode, Carl attempts to lure two zombies away from a home while Rick is nowhere to be seen.

AMC has also released a longer preview of the upcoming new episodes, with glimpses of Daryl (Norman Reedus), Tyreese (Chad Coleman), Glenn (Steven Yeun), Beth (Emily Kinney), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), Bob (Lawrence Gilliard, Jr.) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan).

“The Walking Dead” returns to AMC on Sunday, February 9.
