PALEYFEST 2014 VIDEO: First Look Event Update
If you’ve been going to the PaleyFest for the past few years, you may recall a time when the event was held in the Director’s Guild Theater that was far too small to accommodate everyone who wanted to enjoy the event. The Saban Theater was a big improvement, but for the 31st Annual PaleyFest, the event is moving into the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland.
Although the PaleyFest isn’t starting until March 13, tickets are on sale now through TicketMaster in association with the Paley Center for Media. For those of you who may not be familiar with the PaleyFest, it’s an annual event held in Los Angeles that brings the cast and creators from several of TV’s most popular shows for a two hour panel and screening. As I’ve said before, the PaleyFest is one of the perks of living in LA.
This year’s PaleyFest includes panels for “Mad Men,” “Lost,” “Sleepy Hollow,” “Masters of Sex,” “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Veep,” “Orange Is The New Black,” “Veronica Mars,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “Community,” “Parks and Recreation,” “American Horror Story: Coven,” “The Mindy Project” and “The Vampire Diaries”/”The Originals.”
Despite the larger venue this year, there may still be sellouts. But don’t be tempted to buy any of the scalped PaleyFest tickets from Ebay or Craigslist. Usually, a handful of tickets will become available on the day of the event and the Paley Center will sell those tickets for face value to fans on a first come, first served basis. So if your preferred event sells out, just make sure to arrive a few hours early on the day it occurs to increase your chances of getting in.
The complete lineup of this year’s PaleyFest guests should be announced by the Paley Center within the next few weeks.
