The mtvU awards, which pays tribute to musical acts who are popular with college students, have announced their nominees, and Montreal’s Arcade Fire is in the lead with three nods.
In addition to the new My Way category honoring innovation, Arcade Fire are up for Best Video Woodie and Performing Woodie. In the “Woodie of the Year” category, Disclosure, Drake, Imagine Dragons, Grammy winner Lorde, Pharrell, and Zedd are nominated.
The mtvU Woody Awards return to Austin, Texas on Thursday, March 13th during the SXSW Music Festival. Fans at home will be able to catch the half-hour premiere of the 2014 mtvU Woodie Awards Special on Sunday, March 16th at 8pm. In the meantime, you can vote on the Woodies here.
