David Beckham and ‘Class of ’92’ Teammates Plan Manchester United Takeover

David Beckham is reportedly leading talks to takeover Manchester United from current club owners the Glazer family.

Beckham, alongside his famous ‘class of ’92’ teammates Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Phil and Gary Neville and Nicky Butt, are allegedly being backed by Middle Eastern oil money given to them by wealthy Arabs as they look to take control of their former club, The Sun has reported.

The Manchester Evening News has reported that the alleged purchase of Manchester United is not the only takeover the class of ’92 teammates have in store, as Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs are supposedly just “days away” from completing a takeover of Salford City, where they’ll reportedly rename the club Salford ’92 and place Paul Scholes in charge as manager. It is being said that Salford ’92 may act as a youth club of sorts for rising footballers before they go to Man Utd.
