This Web App Will Prevent You From Ever Reading Game of Thrones Spoilers Again

Everybody hates reading spoilers of their favorite TV shows, but thanks to the internet having the plot twists from shows such as Game of Thrones ruined for you is an inevitability unless you refuse to log into Twitter and Facebook.

However, a handy Chrome extension allows you to block certain keywords on both your Twitter and Facebook feeds, meaning that you’ll never have to read another spoiler again.

The Chrome extension, called ‘Silencer’, allows you to enter keywords that will then be blocked on both Twitter and Facebook. You’ll need to be specific about what keywords you want to block, though: Silencer does not divide hashtags, meaning that if you want to “silence” Game of Thrones you’ll have to enter both ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘#gameofthrones’.

Silencer isn’t just for filtering out TV shows, though. It can used to “silence” absolutely anything on the internet that you can think of, with the extension’s description giving the example of both Miley Cyrus and twerking.

You can download the extension right here. It requires a Twitter account in order to activate it which is a little off-putting, but it’s a small price to pay for never having to read that *SPOILER* killed *SPOILER* ever again.
