If you think your girl might be looking for a little strange while you’re at work or on that fishing trip with your buddies, keeping an eye on her over the weekend may not be the right time to catch her trolling for side action.
According to a recent survey of 3500 male and female members of Victoria Milan, a dating website for attached people looking to have affairs with other attached people, the most popular day of the week to search for that fling is on a Monday. Milan has more than 4 million members in 33 countries, so there’s a serious market for this kind of data service.
Why Monday? Nearly half of those taking the survey—a total of 41% of respondents—said that either Friday or Saturday were the days when they felt the need for more excitement and a little more spice added to a relationship. If they were dissatisfied with the level of excitement they got over the weekend, they were engaging in a dedicated search for side sex Monday morning.
Victoria Milan’s user data shows that Mondays clock about 14% more activity than any other weekday or Sundays—and 25% more than on Fridays and Saturdays. So she’s not looking to step out on you over the weekend. She’s planning a start-the-week-right nooner on the down low.
So what can you do? Make sure to rock her weekend. And be anything but boring. More than a third of survey respondents—36%— said that “a boring weekend with the partner” is why they started their fling quest on Monday. Not surprisingly “lack of sex over the weekend” was the reason 18% engaged in an affair search. So, you’re going to need to rock her weekend and her world before Monday.
But, the sad news is, even if you do that, there’s still a chance she could stray. The survey showed 17% had a Monday tryst “because Mondays are the most depressing day of the week.” It looks like that Garfield “I Hate Mondays” poster over her desk is cock-blocking you.
The really scary finding in the survey is what ended up being the second most popular reason for having that Monday affair: 29% just wanted to start off the work week with “a good dose of adrenaline.” It seems a Sunday afternoon spent BASE jumping is the only thing that will keep her faithful.
