Ouch.
After twelve hits and two homeruns, the Detroit Tigers were left de-clawed and defenseless in the dugout in game 1 of the American League Division Series. The Baltimore Orioles hit their way through the game easily. MLB’s regular season homerun leader (40 total), Nelson Cruz, showed up big time for the Orioles with one long shot. That contributed nicely to the team’s record post-season score of twelve runs.
Game two of the best-of-five series will be this Friday at Camden Yards. Will Detroit find its strength and bounce back? Or will Baltimore extend its advantage?
