In roughly two months, Marvel and ABC will premiere “Agent Carter,” an eight episode event series that will feature Hayley Atwell reprising her character, Peggy Carter from Captain America: The First Avenger.
While ABC has previously aired a 15 second promo for “Agent Carter,” the network has finally released the first extended preview scene from the pilot episode. In it, Peggy is reunited with Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) as he outlines some major trouble that he’s in while preparing to go undercover.
Peggy is also formally introduced to Edwin Jarvis (James D’Arcy), Stark’s butler and the man who will inspire Tony Stark to create the A.I. program known as J.A.R.V.I.S. in the Iron Man films. Of course, Marvel comic book fans will also recognize Edwin Jarvis as the longtime butler for The Avengers as well.
Chad Michael Murray, Enver Gjokaj and Shea Whigham will co-star in “Agent Carter,” while Lyndsy Fonseca, Kyle Bornheimer and Meagen Fay will have recurring roles on the series.
ABC hasn’t announced a premiere date for “Agent Carter,” but it is expected to premiere in January 2015.
