Jennifer Lawrence has been promoting the latest The Hunger Games film Mockingjay Part 1 over the past few days, and stopped by BBC Radio One in the UK for a chat with DJ Nick Grimshaw in which she spoke of her recent problems with the internet – most notably those naked leaked photos of her.
Lawrence became the face of ‘The Fappening,’ the name given to a huge iCloud leak that saw the actress, and other female celebrities such as Kaley Cuoco and Kate Upton, having her private photographs leaked on the ‘net. Lawrence has since spoken out against the perpetrators of the hack, and those who helped share the images over the internet, branding it a “sex crime.” Now she has opened up to Nick Grimshaw about her feelings on the matter.
In the interview, Lawrence said: “The internet has scorned me so much that I feel like it’s that girl in high school, that I’m like ‘you want to talk about her, I’ll do that.'”

She also spoke of how she would not be getting herself a personal Twitter account despite there being multiple fake accounts of her circling on the web, adding: I’m not very good with phones or technology, I can’t really keep up with emails. So the idea of Twitter is so unthinkable to me.
“If you ever see a Facebook, Instagram or Twitter (account) that says it’s me, it most certainly is not.”
The iCloud leak was the most high-profile case to date, with it even seeing the FBI getting involved in order to track down the individual responsible for the leaks. Various accounts on the internet stated that the hacker had gone into hiding as he was being hunted down by officials, but thus far there has been no update as to whether or not he was found by authorities.
