Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil will be out for seven weeks after picking up a knee injury.
The German midfielder suffered the injury during Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat to Chelsea at the beginning of October, when it was diagnosed as a partial ligament tear. While it had been hoped that he would soon recover, he has now revealed that he won’t return to action for the club until the start of the new year.

The Arsenal squad has suffered multiple injuries this year, with Oliver Giroud, Mathieu Debuchy and Laurent Koscielny all out of action. The length of time that Ozil will be sidelined is another blow for manager Arsene Manager.
Speaking of the injury, the 25-year-old said: “I have already been out for five weeks and will be out for another seven weeks.
“That is a really long time but that is the way it is in football sometimes. My head is held high and we look forward.”
Arsenal will next face the struggling Manchester United on 22nd November, before taking on Dortmund in their Champion’s League group stage clash on 26th November.
