Dan Bilzerian, an “Instagram celebrity” known for his beard, his unusually pentagonal head and penchant for taking photographs of himself with guns and scantily-clad women, has been arrested for attempting to make explosives.
According to TMZ, Bilzerian was arrested at LAX airport and is now being held without bail, after he “violated a law making it a crime to possess an explosive or incendiary device with the intent to manufacture it.” The arrest warrant was issued last month in Clark County, Nevada, though has only just been made public as police wanted to keep it confidential before the arrest was being made.

Bilzerian has amassed over 5 million followers on Instagram, where he frequently posts images of his big-budget lifestyle. He has previously claimed that he has earned his millions through gambling, though other reports have claimed that in actuality he’s simply the son of wealthy parents, who give him a nice monthly allowance that allow him to show off to all of his Instagram friends.
As with anyone with THAT much money, there’s an aura of envy that surrounds Bilzerian, but this envy does not detract from the fact that the persona he conveys to his millions of followers is one of flagrant misogyny. Perhaps he’s nothing like the muscled, lunk-headed human phallus that his Instagram account suggests he is, but when you see an image of a man holding a gun, accompanied by a briefcase full of cash and bikini-wearing models, it’s difficult to not ram your clenched fist in your mouth with impotent rage.
However, that rage has since been justified, after video footage emerged of Bilzerian KICKING A WOMAN IN THE FACE at a night club.
Bilzerian could face up to 6 years in jail if he’s convicted of the crime.
