One of the NBA’s all-time biggest busts just got busted in the ring.
Dark Milicic retired from the NBA last year and in doing so decided to pursue kickboxing in his native land of Serbia. The seven-footer took on his debut fight Thursday night — and let’s just say it was very brief.
You’ll see them call the fight after the 3:30 mark after Milicic’s shin gets busted wide open. Take warning — it’s pretty disgusting.
Who was he fighting? Who cares? But it’s important to note that Milcic still received a second place trophy. No joke.
The 29-year-old isn’t worried about his rough start. He was quoted as saying, “The next time, it will be better. I’m invincible.”
He certainly isn’t invincible to over-hype. Milicic was taken second by the Detroit Pistons in the 2003 NBA Draft, only after LeBron James. Although the Pistons won the 2004 NBA title, the team took the Serbian over stars such as Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade.
You’ll get ’em next time, Darko.
