Anonymous Threatens Iggy Azalea With Sex Tape, Career-Ruining Leaks

Update 12/22: The Anon Message Twitter account has been suspended, and other Anonymous factions are distancing themselves from its views.

The internet needs a time out. As the nation is in the midst of a highly polarizing hacking scandal involving Sony pictures and Seth Rogen’s film The Interview, a new hacking threat is making waves in the entertainment world: Iggy Azalea is now in the crosshairs of a faction of Anonymous.

In addition to a lengthy feud with Azealia Banks that received a new vitriolic update this week, Iggy made a series of remarks about peaceful protesters currently in the streets across the country making a stand for Eric Garner, Michael Brown and others who have sparked a conversation about excessive police aggression. As a result, social media activists and sometime hackers sent out a series of tweets via The Anon Message Twitter account on Friday, December 19, warning the “Fancy” superstar that she has 48 hours to apologize to Banks and peaceful Eric Garner protesters or watch her career evaporate before her eyes.

Claiming to have evidence that not only deeply incriminates Iggy in a Kardashian-level opportunist sex tape but also several “important people” and a record label, The Anon Message issued the countdown and appeared determined to follow through on their promise unless she complied:

At publishing time, The Anon Message was apparently redirecting its ire and resources at MTV, who apparently misreported the threats against Azalea. The collective has reminded Iggy, however, that they haven’t forgotten their threat:
