Bruce Campbell has portrayed Ash Williams in the Evil Dead films and Army of Darkness, Sam Axe in Burn Notice and even Elvis Presley in Bubba Ho-Tep. But he’s never been Presidential material… until now.
TVLine is reporting that Campbell has signed on to appear in Fargo Season 2 as Ronald Reagan. But since the storyline takes place in the late ‘70s, Reagan won’t be the President yet. However, the story will feature Reagan’s Presidential campaign as he comes to Fargo. Intriguingly, TVLine’s report suggests that Campbell may even play Reagan in recreations of his classic film appearances.
“[Reagan is] on his first campaign [and he] makes a swing through Fargo. Some of the characters have some interactions with him. And some of his movies are also a part of the show.”

Campbell is only slated to appear in a single episode of Fargo Season 2, but he is currently starring once again as Ash Williams in Ash vs. Evil Dead for STARZ and hosting Last Fan Standing for CONtv. Campbell’s former Burn Notice co-star, Jeffrey Donovan is also slated to recur during Fargo Season 2.
The second season of Fargo is expected to debut on FX later this year.
