Fresh from winning the coveted Ivor Novello Songwriter Of The Year award overnight, UK singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has teamed up with The Muppets‘ Kermit The Frog for a cute but oh so corny rendition of The Muppet Movie classic, Rainbow Connection, as part of NBC‘s Red Nose Day charity benefit.
“I can’t believe I’m here with Kermit The Frog,” Ed Sheeran said before the pair’s performance (below).
“I can’t believe I’m here with Ed the Sheeran,” Kermit replied, before Sheeran jokingly said that Kermit needs to raise money because “he’s not allowed to go back to the swamp unless he brings back the bacon”.
Ed Sheeran and Kermit’s cute rendition of Rainbow Connection was a stripped-back affair, and even included a mid-song “Let’s sing it out, brother,” from Sheeran. You’ve got to hand it to the man — he’s a good sport.
