Not since your Mum checked in to the local Hoyts on Facebook with “Seeing 50 Shades of Grey with the girls!!!” followed by several emojis you didn’t think she knew about has estrogen-fueled film anticipation been as high as it is at the moment, in the lead up to next month’s Magic Mike XXL release.
Well if you’re one of the frothing masses all amped up in your lady (or man) parts for round two of the triumphant filmic display of ripped torso and thrusting bulges, you may need to take a seat and/or cold shower because you now have the chance to see the film alongside stars Channing Tatum and Joe Manganiello (and a couple of thousand other randy ticket-holders).
Warner Brothers and Hoyts Cinemas have just announced a unique world exclusive arena premiere for the Magic Mike sequel, to be held at the Qantas Credit Union Arena (formerly Entertainment Centre) in Sydney with the titular Mike and his buddy Big Dick Ritchie themselves in attendance for the screening on an extra-extra-large 23-metre screen.
Director Greg Jacobs and writer/producer Reid Carolin will also be at the event, joining Channing and Joe on the red carpet beforehand and for an audience Q&A post-screening, where I’m assuming most of the questions will be along the lines of “can we see your dick pls?”.
