Here’s how you can start 2016 off with a bang, and by “bang” we mean hearing Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally talk about sex.
The husband and wife comedy power couple are bringing their raunchily titled, Summer Of 69: No Apostrophe tour to Australia in January, and it’s promising to be as revealing as it is hilarious.
Parks & Rec fans will be more than familiar with the pair’s sexed-up onscreen relationship with each other as Ron Swanson and ex-wife, Tammy 2 in the series.
But some of you might not know that much of the comedy behind the pair’s onscreen dalliances draws from their super in-your-face approach to marital sex with each other IRL.
And now, by taking their relationship to the next level, the stage, they’re going to be letting it all hang out.
Featuring songs, funny talking, heavy ribaldry, light petting and one “astonishing final act of completion”, the tawdry twosome will be exposing all of the salacious details of their fiery union for us Aussies to enjoy.
Mullally, who some fans might know best as the sassy perpetual drunk Karen Walker from TV’s “Will & Grace”, says the show is “Like comedic sex-ed.”
“I think the show will be rather graphic so, you know, don’t bring your 7-year-old, but we hope to be very informative. It’s very all-American, really. It’s going to be a variety show comprised of talking, singing and sex acts.”
Offerman added: “There’s an important subtitle in the show, and it’s ‘no apostrophe’. It’s about the greatest love relationship of all time.”
We’ll let you guys figure that one out.
The royal couple of comedy will lube things up at Sydney’s State Theatre on Friday, January 29th before heading onto Hobart, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane.
