Jurgen Klopp has officially been appointed manager of Liverpool, with the German having signed a three-year contract with the club. He is set to travel to the city tonight.
Liverpool made it clear that their first choice in manager following Brendan Rodgers’ sacking was the ex-Borussia Dortmund manager, though his appointment has been swifter than expected. The 48-year-old will bring two of his former staff members with him to Anfield, with his assistant Zeljko Buvac and analyst Peter Krawietz both making their way to the Premier League club.
Liverpool will hold a press conference with Klopp at 10 am tomorrow, where the club will officially present him as their new manager.

Klopp nor Liverpool have released an official statement regarding the news, though fans will no doubt be happy at his appointment given his previous success in the Bundesliga. While Rodgers helped Liverpool to second place in 2012/13, the club hasn’t achieved the same kind of success as Dortmund did under Klopp’s reign, and the club’s supporters will be hoping that he can bring his magic touch to Anfield.
The press conference will be available to watch live on LFCTV, which you can sign up to right here. We’ll be covering the whole thing at 10 am BST tomorrow.
