Naked And Afraid Comes To Canada For First Time During All-New Season

Spanning six continents, 30 countries, and more than 100 survivalists stripping down to their birthday suits, Discovery’s new season of Naked and Afraid premieres March 20th at 9pm with eight new episodes.

This season, a whole new crop of extreme survivalists are set to tackle brand-new international locations including production in Canada for the very first time.

But first, viewers can catch special “pop-up” edition episodes, Sunday, March 6th at 8pm and 9pm and Sunday, March 13th at 8pm. These episodes feature “pop up” text that shed light on the countries and the survivalists from the last season with interesting and often humourous factoids. In addition, fans can also catch a preview show of the upcoming season on March 13th at 9pm.

In each episode of Naked and Afraid, one man and one woman – meeting for the first time in the nude with no food, water, or clothes – are paired and tasked to survive in some of the world’s most extreme environments for 21 days. From Australia to Croatia and Canada’s very own McCrae Lake in Ontario, along with first-time stops in Alabama and Texas, the survivalists suffer the world’s most hostile climates and encounter new and deadly animals. They will need to surmount physical challenges to create shelter, forage for food, and find water. But as the days wear on and the danger ramps up, the mental challenge can become unbearable for some participants.
