UK supermarket Tesco has listed the upcoming Nintendo NX’s price as £349.99, with it potentially offering our first indication of how much the new console will cost.
The listing was made on the Tesco web site, with NintendoLife spotting the new entry. Alongside the £349.99 price tag, the listing also gives the console a release date of December 31, 2016, but this is likely a placeholder date until the retailer receives official confirmation from Nintendo.
Nintendo is predicted to finally reveal the Nintendo NX in October, with the company having already stated that it will launch in early 2017. However, this listing suggests that its big reveal may be even sooner than we think, with retailers typically readying listings such as these in order to roll them out as soon as an announcement has been made.
Little is known about the Nintendo NX at this point, though it has been heavily rumored that it will be a hybrid of both a home console and a handheld, with it allegedly set to boast a portable display that allows owners to play their games away from their TV. Nintendo has been practically silent regarding the console, so hopefully this is an indication that we should hear something from the company very soon.
