Zack Snyder Celebrates With New ‘Justice League’ Sizzle Reel

Justice League is in the strange position of being a massive, big budget sequel to a hit franchise that – simultaneously – feels like an underdog. Ever since Warner Bros. rebooted their superhero franchises as a shared universe with 2013’s Man of Steel, audiences have been torn by the new films, which provide many of the spectacles and fan service moments we want but also seem riddled with plot, character and conceptual problems that become more obvious with each viewing. We all want these movies to be great, but so far there’s no one movie that the overwhelming majority of the fans can get behind.

And yet, you can’t keep these filmmakers down. Production just wrapped on the upcoming Justice League movie and director Zack Snyder has celebrated by revealing a sizzle reel full of behind the scenes footage – stunts, training, gags and more – that highlights how much fun the cast and crew is having while revealing relatively little about the film. (Apparently at one point the Justice League are going to ride an elevator, and also climb some stairs. Not exactly the big the trailer moments.)

If you already love the DC Extended Universe movies, then this look at the making of Justice League is bound to thrill you. And if you don’t, it may still be effective marketing. Again, we all want to love the DC superhero movies, and if these kinds of videos are able to make us love the people making those movies, they might earn some invaluable good will that could pay off when they finally hit theaters.

Justice League arrives in theaters on November 17, 2017.
