Space Returns To The Magical World Of The Librarians

The fantastical world of The Librarians returns when Season 3 kicks off Sundays at 8pm beginning November 20th, exclusively on Space.

Based on the hit movie franchise The Librarian, the series centres on an ancient organization tasked with protecting the everyday world from the unseen magical realm that exists around it. Seasons 1-2 of The Librarians are available now exclusively on CraveTV™.

The 10-episode, one-hour action-packed series brings Eve Baird (Rebecca Romijn, X-Men), Jacob Stone (Christian Kane, Leverage), Cassandra, played by Canadian actor Lindy Booth (Dawn of the Dead), and Ezekiel Jones (John Kim, Neighbors), back to the job of guarding the world’s mystical treasures. Also returning to the fold is Jenkins (John Larroquette, The Brink), their reluctant caretaker, and Noah Wyle (Falling Skies) in the recurring role of Flynn Carsen, the original Librarian from The Librarian movie trilogy.

Throughout its run, Season 2 of The Librarians made Space the most-watched entertainment specialty network in its Sundays at 8pm timeslot. With an average audience of 426,000 viewers, it was the #3 program on Space among total viewers, and ranked among the Top 20 programs on Canadian entertainment specialty television.

Season 3 finds the team fighting a war on two fronts. First, Apep, the Egyptian God of Chaos, is released from a museum in Egypt and is revealed to be bent on freeing pure evil into the world to create a chaotic apocalypse. The Librarians must stop him, but must do so while also avoiding the new black-ops government agency D.O.S.A. (the Department of Statistical Anomalies). D.O.S.A.’s investigation of magic has the agency – and their determined leader, General Cynthia Rockwell – believing the Librarians are home-grown terrorists.

In the Season 3 premiere, “And the Rise of Chaos” (Sunday, November 20th at 8pm), the Egyptian God of Chaos inhabits a human body and attempts to release pure evil into the world, thus beginning the final battle of Good vs. Evil. In order to stop him, the Librarians must decipher a series of clues within a science museum, including a mysterious warning spoken by exhibit mannequins that have come to life.
