You’ve probably never heard of Giraffe Tongue Orchestra (GTO), but you definitely have thrown devil horns to the bands the new alternative-metal supergroup descends from. Comprised of William DuVall of Alice In Chains, Ben Weinman of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Brent Hinds of Mastodon, Pete Griffin of Dethklok and Thomas Pridgen of The Mars Volta, GTO is a certifiable supergroup, although more Freedom Force than say X-Men.

Although GTO technically formed in 2011, they’ve just released a buzz-worthy debut Broken Lines via Party Smasher Inc/Cooking Vinyl US, which features cameos from actress/musician Juliette Lewis and Queens of the Stone Age drummer, Jon Theodore.
In addition, Giraffe Tongue Orchestra released a wickedly funny and disturbing music video for the band’s current single, “Blood Moon,” which features blood-thirsty Harajuku Girls torturing the band members in a way that would make Quentin Tarantino blush.
