There are two sides to every story, even if that story comes from what actually looks like the right side of the tracks in some podunk area of America where the town social on a Saturday night is still a thing.
On one side, you have Marissa, a young woman who is seemingly trying to discover who she is and what this love game is all about, and she’s doing so by attaching herself to a young man named Luke, who apparently is “in demand” in this one-horse town.
On the other side, you have a young woman scorned, one who thought she had found the love of her life in Luke, and the next step was going to be a courthouse wedding and a trio of kids and not necessarily in that order. But that dream of a one-bedroom apartment and riding the welfare system totally came crashing down and got smashed into a million pieces when the homewrecker Marissa popped into the picture.
Whatever the case might be, a few of the scorned lover’s friends decided to get involved and confront Marissa and Luke, who were hand-in-hand and probably on their way to capitalize on a Dilly Bar special at the local DQ. That’s when the bombshell gets dropped that this isn’t the first time Marissa has wrecked a high school relationship that was likely going to fail months later anyway. And, oh snap, it’s apparently not the first one she’s wrecked this week.
