Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 may have been a bit of a disappointment, but the music video for David Hasselhoff’s song “Inferno” is everything we need to kick-start our week.

The cheesy disco “Inferno” features everything we love about Guardians of the Galaxy franchise (including cameos from Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, and Stan Lee), but without the meandering, bloated storyline of Vol. 2.

The retro song is performed by Sneepers, a fictional band invented by Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn (who plays the drummer in the video) and composer Tyler Bates with director David Yarovesky helming the music video.

Although the Hoff only had a bit part in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the Baywatch star is the star lord of “Inferno”, baring his iconic chest hair and singing lyrics like “getting down and dirty with the Procyon Lotor”.

Speaking of Star Lord, where is the newly single Chris Pratt in all this zany fun? Watch the video and wait for it…

The “Inferno” music video will be included on the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 DVD, which will be available on August 8.
