Just In Time For Oktoberfest, Adidas Is Releasing Beer Repellent Sneakers

If you’re anything like me, you’re eagerly anticipating the coming of Oktoberfest, a time when it’s basically a law that you must have a cold one with the boys (fact-checking pending).

For the next couple of months, gallons upon gallons of the finest beers will be poured down our gullies in celebration of those same beers. There will be drunk nights followed by hellacious mornings after, only to potentially do it again the next night. Brace yourselves, gents.

From time to time, those fine brewskis miss our mouths and find their way toward the ground and our feet. It’s a tragic and unfortunate event, but it does happen, and sometimes we might be wearing a dope pair of shoes that we bring out of the boxes for only special occasions. Once the beer hits them, it’s a horrific moment and a potential ruiner of the night.

Luckily, Adidas knows the struggle and came up with a genius idea.

Just In Time For Oktoberfest, Adidas Is Releasing Beer Repellent Sneakers

Fuck yes, Adidas. Take all my money.

The German shoe company is set to release the “München “Oktoberfest” on Sept. 2, and it’s the kind of shoe that comes with style and a strong resistance to spilled beer. According to the video above, the sneakers are made from the finest leather and DPBR coating, which stands for durable puke & beer repellent. That’s right, not only does it remain undamaged from spilled drinks, but also vomit for all of you who can’t handle your shit.

In addition to the DPBR, there’s “rich embroidery to match your lederhosen.” If you cop these joints from 43einhelb, you’ll also get a custom beer mug, and who doesn’t need more beer mugs?

But don’t worry, if you don’t get these you can still enjoy everything else Oktoberfest has to offer. Good luck keeping those Jordan’s clean, though.
