The husband of British singer, Corinne Bailey Rae, was found dead in an apartment yesterday of an apparent drug overdose. A man has since been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs, but he has been released. Police are currently awaiting a toxicology report. New York Daily News says:
Jason Rae, 31, was discovered dead in an apartment in the Hyde Park area of Leeds in northern England. Bailey Rae, 29, is said to have not been at the property at the time…Jason Rae was a saxophonist with the Haggis Horns, who have performed with Bailey Rae as well as Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson and the band Nightmares on Wax….Bailey Rae is a singer-songwriter and guitarist who released her self-titled debut album two years ago. The record went to number one on the UK charts and sold over a million copies in the US, thanks to the hit single “Put Your Records On.”
Man, this story sure has a lot of people I’ve never heard of. If they could wear name tags at the funeral that would really help me out. You know, except Jason Rae of course. People will look on in wonder and amazement on how easily I’ll be able to point him out.
Update: By using my crack investigative skills, I have discovered that this chick’s hit song was sung by American Idol whore, Antonella Barba. Then she got voted off. Coincidence? Possibly.
