Nick Cannon Claims He’s Going Celibate Until 2022 After Fathering 4 Children With 3 Different Women in a Year (January’s Not That Far Off, Nick)

When you’re young, celibacy is rarely a choice. But as you get older, you start to see how distracting, damaging, or exhausting having a sex life is and just might decide to give up gettin’ it on for a while voluntarily. Abstaining from sex can help clear your head, not to mention your schedule, so you can focus on other, more important things. Nick Cannon has apparently come to this realization, though it took some pretty serious consequences for him to do so.

In case you haven’t been keeping up, the 40-year-old entertainer has seven children. Four of those were born in the last year – to three different mothers! Though he claims he doesn’t “have no accident[s]” when it comes to procreating, we have to call bullshit on that. No man plans to impregnate that many women with that many kids in the short span of 12 months. (Just think of the child support payments alone!)

But apparently, he’s taking a break from baby-making. After some soul-searching in therapy, he’s been persuaded by his therapist to keep it in his pants – at least for the remainder of the year.

“I told you, man, I’m celibate right now,” Cannon shared with DJ EFN and N.O.R.E., hosts of “Drink Champs” last week. “I’m going to see if I could make it to 2022.”

While we admire and applaud the effort, we can’t help but note that 2022 is, well, less than three months away. 90 days without nookie barely even qualifies as a dry spell, much less a serious period of abstinence.

But given Cannon’s apparent hyper-virility, it’s better than nothing. Maybe in 2022, he can make a resolution to use this handy-dandy invention we’ve heard of called a condom. That way, he can have as much sex as he wants without overpopulating the planet.
