Woman Who Asked ‘Am I the A-hole?’ For Forcing Boyfriend to Choose Between Her and Danny DeVito Bitterly Divides the Internet

Danny DeVito has come between a couple in the weirdest, most unintentional way – and just might be the cause of their demise.

This is a convoluted tale, so stick with us. Last week, a 31-year-old woman posted on the “AITA” (Am I The Asshole) thread on Reddit. She told how her 33-year-old boyfriend was a devoted Danny DeVito fan who had a cutout of the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor in the space he uses to work from home.

Big deal, right? Well, apparently, the guy’s boss didn’t like seeing the cutout during virtual meetings, and asked him to remove it. Instead of doing so, the dude doubled down, purchasing an oil painting of the actor and two more DeVito cutouts, then placing them in full view of his boss.

Whereas before the DeVito cutout debacle, the guy was next in line for his boss’ job, he has since been told that his career was “dead” at the company where he worked for 12 years, so he quit, without consulting his girlfriend. Now she’s wondering if she should stick with him.

Twitter seemed split down the middle on who was overreacting in this scenario, with younger people siding with the boyfriend and older people siding with the girlfriend and the boss. And some just had us laughing.

We’re not going to weigh in on this one. We simply cannot choose between a gig, a girl, and Danny DeVito, even if only in cutout form. Why can’t a guy have it all?
