Singers, authors, actors, and even muppets are celebrating National Dog Day 2024. These are just a few memorable pictures of celebrity pooches posted during this holiday.

Legendary singer Barbra Streisand posted images of her numerous Coton de Tulear dogs throughout her career. Her current three dogs are Scarlet, Violet, and Fanny, with Scarlet and Violet famously being clones of her favorite dog, Samantha, who sadly died in 2017.

Machete actor Danny Trejo is famously a dog person. For this international dog holiday, he held up an adorable white dog. The dog may be a new addition to his pack of dogs, but the picture looks to be taken inside Trejos Donuts in Los Angeles, California.

The X account for Tony Bennett shared a remembrance of the late singer and his dog Happy, who looks to be a maltese. Bennett passed away in July 2023 at the age of 96.

The official account for Elmo on X has shared a picture of various dogs on Sesame Street, including Barkley (originally called Woof Woof) and Tango, Elmo’s puppy who appeared in the 2021 animated special Furry Friends Forever: Elmo Gets a Puppy. In the middle of the photo is director Bryan Reisberg and his dog Maxine the Fluffy Corgi.

This bestest boy is Barclay, the Official Stanley Pup for the St. Louis Blues hockey team. He also represents the nonprofit organization Duo Dogs.
