Portland’s crushing purveyors of doom Lord Dying are preparing to unleash their new album Summon the Faithless on July 9 (7/5 in Germany/Benelux, 7/8 UK) via Relapse Records, and CraveOnline is proud to bring you the exclusive premiere stream of the record a full week before release.
The apocalyptically awesome collection consists of eight tracks clocking in at just under forty minutes, with frontman E. Olson, bassist D. Capuano, drummer/vocalist J. Reid and guitarist C. Evans unleashing a sound that transcends the sludgy brooding melancholia the Pacific Northwest has come to be known for.

Boasting members of Black Elk , Portals, Le Force and Cremains, Lord Dying have shared the stage with Red Fang, Down, Unsane, Yob, Valient Thorr, Ghost and many others. After releasing a self-titled EP in 7” form, the guys heading out on national tours with Witch Mountain followed by a long trek with label-mates Red Fang and Black Tusk (who we premiered a new song from yesterday – listen here).
In addition to the band’s album release show on July 9th in Portland, OR at the White Owl Social Club, and headlining North American tour dates, Lord Dying have also announced a summer tour with Howl. The band also has confirmed a festival appearance at Phil Anselmo’s inaugural Housecore Horror Film Fest alongside Pig Destroyer, Down, Repulsion and many others – all dates can be found below.
