On September 23, Nirvana‘s final studio album gets an enormous box set reissue celebration just in time for its 20th anniversary. In Utero, the third full-length offering from the Seattle legends, will see a full-scale reissue with a treasure trove of extras and outtakes.
The 3CD/DVD version of the reissue includes the complete grunge centerpiece album, many favorite B-sides and compilation tracks, as well as a December 1993 Seattle live show, demos, and the Steve Albini-mixed versions of “Heart Shaped Box” and “All Apologies.”
Granted, while the demos will be a treat, very little here will be of any surprise to longtime fans, who experienced the bulk of what was left of unreleased Nirvana material with the 2004 release of the band’s With The Lights Out retrospective collection.
