PAX Prime: The Schedule, Panels, and Events of this Year’s PAX in Seattle

PAX Prime 2013 is almost here. As in year’s past it will be held in Seattle, Washington at the Washington State Convention Center which will be host to some of the industry’s biggest games and most exciting announcements.

The show kicks off Friday morning with a keynote from Fable creator Peter Molyneux. Although the format of the event will be identical to previous years, this will be the first PAX that runs for four days. That’s a day longer than E3!

Here are the show floor hours:

  • Friday, August 30th 10:00am – 6:00pm PST 
  • Saturday, August 31st 10:00am – 6:00pm PST 
  • Sunday, September 1st 10:00am – 6:00pm PST 
  • Monday, September 2nd 10:00am – 6:00pm PST

Although the show floor closes at 6:00PM each day, panels and events will be taking place until around midnight.

Events at PAX Prime 2013 range from tournaments for a variety of games, to panels where well-known people in the industry speak about the past, present, and future. There are events every day from sun up to sun down. Below are some of this year’s premier events:

  • Friday @ 11:00am PST – Penny Arcade Q&A 
  • Friday @ 2:00pm PST – Pitching The Last of Us
  • Friday @ 3:30pm PST – Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Launch Celebration
  • Friday @ 5:30pm PST – inFAMOUS Second Son – Being superHUMAN in Seattle
  • Friday @ 8:00pm PST – The PAX 10 Panel: Part 1
  • Saturday @ 12:00pm PST – Wildstar: Journey to Nexus
  • Saturday @ 1:00pm PST – 10 Questions with Supergiant Games
  • Saturday @ 4:00pm PST – Major Nelson Radio!
  • Saturday @ 6:30pm PST – The PAX 10 Panel: Part 2
  • Sunday @ 10:30am PST – Penny Arcade Q&A2

Lastly, the PAX 10 have been revealed which are considered the top 10 indie games by industry professionals. They will be featured during The PAX 10 Panel Part 1 and Part 2, and include:
