After self-releasing a 4-track E.P back in 2010, Charming Liars took stock of the promise they saw in reactions from fans and critics, and weighed their options moving forward. “We had collectively always wanted to write and record the biggest sounding album we possibly could” says singer Charlie. “It was becoming too difficult to juggle the responsibilities of university and jobs with the full time nature of a working rock band.”
What resulted was a nearly three-year process of devoting their lives to their passion, and completing their debut album with production heavyweights Bob Rock (Metallica, Aerosmith, Motley Crue) and John Fields (Andrew WK, Switchfoot, Jimmy Eat World). Teasing what’s to come, Charming Liars have released the no-nonsense rocker “Break Away,” and have planned an upcoming video for “New Disorder” as well as an introductory EP showcasing two more tracks.
After a headlining show at the legendary Los Angeles club The Roxy, Charming Liars set out on their first-ever U.S. tour. Check out a behind-the-scenes clip of the band as they kill it in Hollywood and make their way into the wilds of America as part of the Rockstar Uproar Festival alongside Alice in Chains, Jane’s Addiction and Coheed & Cambria.:
