Watch Dogs PC System Requirements Are Remarkably Demanding

If you’re looking to play Watch Dogs on PC, you better have a beastly rig prepared.

After a set of rumored system requirements leaked for Watch Dogs, Ubisoft have released the official minimum and recommended specs. While the game doesn’t appear to require a very speedy processor, its memory and GPU requirements are off the charts. 1GB of VRAM is required with 2GB recommended. Only GPUs of the past two years break beyond the 2GB barrier, so if you haven’t recently upgraded then you might be stuck running the game on medium settings with anti-aliasing disabledIf you’re running a 32-bit operating system you won’t even have enough RAM to run the game (4GB+ requires a 64-bit processor).

See below for the system requirements:

MINIMUM

This product supports 64-bit operating systems ONLY

The allure of next-gen consoles couldn’t be greater after seeing these PC requirements. A PS4 or Xbox One will run the game with gorgeous graphics, due in-part to console optimization. This all isn’t really surprising, though. Previous Ubisoft titles including Assassin’s Creed releases were unoptimized on PC. If you’re determined to play it on your desktop, then at least you have the option.

Watch Dogs will debut first for PS4 on November 15th, soon followed by current-gen platforms and a PC release on November 19th. Xbox One will join the party at launch on November 22nd.
